This is what I do:
I have a weekly - mon - thur - term time only lodger. THIS IS UNTAXED AND LEGAL TO DO.
I take in trainee teachers who undertake their PGCE work placement locally as well as my main lodger (I have two spare rooms)
I privately tutor - TAXED BUT STILL WORTH IT.
I exam mark - £4.02 a script - TAXED BUT WORTH IT.
Extra income - extra £4000 after tax. It's a killer having all these extras but all helpful
In the summer holidays, I clean caravans, cat/dog sit and make things to sell at a Christmas craft fair. I also make preserves for Christmas presents and make curtains for people when they ask too.
I also ebay things I buy at jumble sales, sell DVDs and CDs online too.:money:
