How about Portballintrae? - At lot Less manic than Portrush, but just down the road. I can recommend the Bayview hotel http://www.discovernorthernireland.com/Bayview-Hotel-Portballintrae-Bushmills-P3949 Just across the road is the lovely beach. Handy to nip back to hotel for drinks, toliet beaks, rest etc etc. We stayed there a few years back with our two wee ones and had a lovely time.0

What about Bangor? You have lots there,Pickie Park & the's fun rides for the kids, some of the pub resturants are child friendly,Wolseys does great food for all!
Handy for public transport to Belfast, you have the ducks & other birds at Ward Park, loads to do.
Good cheap b&b's on Seacliffe Road, which is on the coastal road in the town center & has another great pub,The Jamaica Inn.

how about the radison roe in limivady. There is an indoor pool and your could do big country walks or head the the beach or walks around town. Coach house restaurant is very child friendly and your little ones will be well looked after.
Enjoy your well deserved break“A house is made of walls and beams;a home is built with love and dreams.”2012 Challenge to buy most gifts and non essentials from money made online.:money:0 -
Thanks for suggestions. Not bothered about a pool, DS only 7 weeks and DD not confinant swimmer so dont think I could manage them both.
Liking the look of bay view.
Looked at Ramada in portrush, was cheaper for 2 adults than for 1 adult and 1 child!!
Hadnt thought about bangor as would visit regularly anyway, same as newcastle.0 -
I know I always go on about it, but if you can get down to Malahide, you can do it in about 90 mins from Belfast depending on how many roadworks are on this side of the border, it has a huge kids park, a beach, a marina, shops, and you could get a day ticket for the DART and ride the train up and down the Dublin coast as well - Grand Hotel in Malahide is about €110 a night for b&b family room but Premier Inn Swords is about £60 a night and kids eat free with adult paying for breakfast and its 5 mins down the road.Norn Iron Club Member #64
