Craft-Robo?

Hi Everyone!
I have just read my latest card making mag and read about the Craft-Robo. It looks great! I was wondering if anyone has one and if so is it any good?
I've tried googling it and reading the foums but it made me more confused! I love to make cards but hate all the cutting out. I've thought about a Cricut in the past but it seemed so expensive and the thought of buying all the extras on top, the craft robo seems ideal cos it links up with your PC.
I would love to hear your views. Pros and cons!!
Thanks x;)

Does anyone know whether it's worth paying double the price to buy the standard size craft-robo or if the 'lite' size would be good enough???
Thanks (in advance);)

Hi Kaja
I have the Silhouette SD which is virtually the same as a Craft Robo, it uses the same software. I really love mine, it does have its pros and cons. I would say you would get more from it if it was permanantly out on a desk for a start, its not as quick as using say a Cuttlebug or Bigshot, you still have to buy files, they are 99cents (about75p) from Quickutz but having said that there are loads of freebies if you search. I had the subscription as part of my package so am still using that at the moment. The advantage over cuttlebugs is that the files can be altered to your own sizes just by clicking and dragging and once you have made your own sizes up and saved them its a doddle to cut them. It also uses any True Type Font you have on your computer and so makes cutting letters and phrases easy peasy! No expensive dies to buy
If you look on UK SCrappers they sometimes have them for sale second hand. HTH 0 -
Fantastic-what a brilliant reply! It was the font thing i fancied the most. I like the idea of putting cut out words on my cards and doing it by hand is a nightmare!! i will look on the website you suggested and maybe ebay. I've never heard of a silhouette...............i'm gonna investigate!

WOW flourgirl. I've spent ages looking at your blog! I must get a papercutter now! I have about a million questions to ask you as I am just a learner.
Thanks for your advice.
