I'm not sure there is anything you can do then, Have you tried speaking to the manager of the shop? although i think they will probably spout out about..."Knowing and agreeing the price at time you purchased",

but if you don't ask, you don't get..go for it, you have nothing to lose
  • I'm afraid this is what happens with technology all the time... Good luck trying though
  • we buy ours through the Dell factory outlet usually on dell website bottom left discrete link. Well below list price but specific configs from cancelled orders, avoids this kind of loss in value..worth a look saves £££'s

i dont see how you can complain!! you bought it in may and you was quite willing to pay that price or you wouldnt have bought it.

The shop wouldnt have known it was going to go down so much in the next few months so its not their fault.

you do have one option - buy the product again and then in a few days take it back to the same store or a different store with your receipt for £580 - now i know this was at the end of may but if its all sealed and u say it was a present or something they may take it back (i think you usually get 28 days - they might not even notive the date though) the worst that can happen is they refuse and then all u have to do is go back with the £350 receipt and get your money back - worth a try!

The problem with technology is it goes out of date so quickly. You buy something now, 3 months later the next best thing is around.
Cant blame the shop really, saying that if you want to be a bit devious, try the above way.

And if you do there is the potential that you will be prosecuted for fraud or for obtaining money by deception. Is it worth it?

you are still returning the exact same product so cant see what the problem is
