Cheap bars in london?
We're going for a few drinks in London tonight but aren't too familiar with the area. Does anyone know of some cheap places to get the drinks in?? Obviously there's the wetherspoons but how about other places maybe with happy hours? They still do them anywhere??
Any advice from people with some local knowledge would be really appreciated!

I know this is a bit late, but there are lots of Samuel Smith's pubs about - among the cheapest in London, and some are among the nicest too! http://www.beerintheevening.com/breweries/pubs.shtml?brewery=16 I'd recommend the Princess Louise on High Holborn, it really is a beautiful old fashioned pub. Also the Angel on St Giles High Street (behind Centrepoint) has a garden, albeit one that closes at 5pm for some reason...2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff
Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0 -

Thank you! I've been looking for a list of all the sam smiths pubs in London and haven't had any luck unitl now
For visitors, I'd recommend the Chandos - it's not as beautiful as some of their other pubs but has a great location, just off Trafalgar Square and opposite the National Portrait Gallery.Snootchie Bootchies!0 -
