Hi Chips, you may be able to get them done, but depending upon how short your nails are, they won't stay on long.
Are you hoping that having nails will break the biting habit?
I bite mine and I have had false nails on in the past, I love having nails and being able to paint them and not have to hide my hands.....but as soon as the falsies are off, I start nibbling
I did try hypnotism and that worked for about 18 months, my nails were weak and I kept them short, but it wasn't a forever solution.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
If you have some nails you should be able to have some fitted.
The mistake people make to start with is to have lovely long nails fitted, this really is a mistake as your not used to them so they will
be knocked off etc.
Best going to a nail technician and having short nails put on so that you gradually get used to them.
I had badly bitten nails up to about 15 years ago, gradually over 10 years i got used to the process, and my nails eventually grew stronger over time, once they grew a bit i then used to get them (my own nails overlaid with acrylic) so they were strong. Eventually, i didnt even need this.
Now i have lovely nails, (all my own and not overlaid, it does take a long time but worth it in the end.
Good luck

I bite them really bad, don't like looking at them, I thought I would have them done really short just to get used to them and to stop me biting them, I will go and ask in a salon and hope they don't laugh at me!0

If they laugh at you, walk straight back out!I bite them really bad, don't like looking at them, I thought I would have them done really short just to get used to them and to stop me biting them, I will go and ask in a salon and hope they don't laugh at me!
You will be able to have enhancements, BUT don't expect them to look totally perfect the first time, and they may not last just as long as they normally should (because of the danger of picking and also because the nails were not perfect to begin with). Salons may charge a bit more too, certainly for a rebalance (when you go back) because there is more work to be done.
They should not be long, certainly no longer than the tips of your fingers. That's just asking for trouble from a nail biter
It's a process, but it's worth it if you want to be able to have beautiful nails
