Hmm, this seems to be attracting greedy people who don't register nor thank them who have offered their spare codes.

Can we not save up the codes until say a saturday, just post that you have a code/s and those who need them, post a request for them, when Saturday arrives hold some kind of raffle by placing names in a 'hat' etc and limiting a user to one code per week?
