I think the reason people aren't getting thanked is that people who haven't joined the site (therefore don't post, but can read) are using them.
That's why I think PMs are fairer in a way.....you can choose who they go to (and I'd still like one if anyone has one going....if I'm pm'd more than one, I'll PM the rest on)
