Hi
Does anyone know if the CSA will advise a non resident parent when a child finishes full time education. The child is over 16 but under 19. If not does the NRP just keep paying? If they ask to have this checked will this trigger a whole reassessment?

Also I have read on this site that there is a difference in the type of CSA (CSA1 and CSA2) depending on when assesmnet was done. this would relate to CSA1 - what's the difference between the two (other than date)?

Thank you

No differences in terms of this. if the child is not in full-time education then no child benefit is payable, and therefore maintenance should stop. It will continue until either first Monday in September after the education ceases or when they commence full-time work, whichever is sooner.

you can ask for the status of the child to be checked at any time - they will contact the other party and child benefit to get details re this - only the aspect of the case you have asked to be looked at will be investigated so will not trigger a reassessment
