i went swimming - note to self, don't go just after the schools have kicked out...hard to have a proper swim with kids playing and jumping in etc

    Hi conf,

Wish my son hadn't gone swimming today :eek::(

He dived in the pool complete with his brand new mobile in the pocket of his swimming trunks  We have no insurance on it.

Its in the airing cupboard for a week, if it doesn't work after that have been told should claim for it on our household insurance. Great, £100 excess :(

    Kids

NO!!!! good grief!!!! airing cupboard sounds like a good idea, someone once told me to put it in a bowl of dry uncooked rice and it absorbs any moisture out of the phone. oh gawd! :(

yes thanks, its in rice too, he looked that up on the web!!

Mobile phone co. were quite helpful with advice but cos it isnt insured nothing they can do !!! But at £7.99 a month we just couldnt stretch to it, oh, hindsight is a wonderful thing hey !!!

Hope you enjoyed your swim, we have started going, but try and go to the early risers to avoid the kids.

    xx

£7.99 is a lot...some people need it breaking phones a few times a year, some people never do, so it's a tough call!

i'll think more carefully about the timing of my swim next time!

any plans for the weekend? we're just having a quiet one...
