All you need to do is save every £2 coin that comes into your hands ( or that of your partner/kids/cat etc!) and stash in a jar and then decide what you are saving for, some people are saving for Xmas, or camping holidays, or similar :) Or of course paying off the debt :D

Seen this is your first post - so BIG Welcome
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    Englishbabe,

£2.00 saving is a good piece of fun. You'd be amazed how much you can save in a short period of time. i managed to save enough to pay for my road tax just by simply keeping the £2.00 coins in a small jar. However I did become quite hooked on it. If I went out with £20 for a night out with my mates and I was given £2 coins in changed I'd make a point of not spending them and coming home early if necessary (sad I know).

    Good luck with it.

    Cheers,

I cant do it, as I dont know what it is about East London, but I get LOADS.

Especially if you use notes in a london underground machine, a £20 note will often yeild at least 7 £2 coins. ( quick tip there fatjock if you find yourself in london :D)

I just cant afford to save at this rate LOL

hi englishbabe & welcome to MSE, the most hugely helpful website on the web .... I've got a question about the £2 club as well, which is quite trivial really, but someone might know - do you get added to any kind of list anywhere after you say you'd like to join? as with the debt nerd club? or do you just start posting in your signature and that's it?... Not that it really matters because the point is to save the money not get yer name added to a list, but I have been wondering!!!!

Can you join the club and is it a wise idea to save even if your in debt? ... Or can you save for the reason of saying clearing of one of your creditors?
  • Hiya all

Just reading this thread and decieded to join you all 'coz my 5 year old son just found a £2 coin down the side of the sofa, as I'm sat reading the thread on my laptop!!!!!!

Just not decided what I'm saving for yet, probably something for my kids as it was my son that found it.

    Cheers

you can save for any reason.

if you post in £2 savers club thread then you'll get added to the list. I think there is an update due soon as to the amounts saved etc.

Just thought I'd edit this as realised 4008 posts in that thread :D
£2 savers club = £52 - spending money for holiday
