do you have a link to this seller please

Mrs Gloomendoom sorted it, so the link is on her computer. I'll never find it on my own, so I'll post it up tomorrow.

Although some sofas appear huge, often they will come in two or even three pieces (in the case of our recliner sofa). The delivery men brought the pieces into our tiny terrace and simply bolted it all together. We will have to take the sofa apart if ever we move or change it. Ask the sales people if any of the sofas do indeed come in pieces. My mother-in-law ended up having her front room window taken out to get her small new sofa in as she has an even smaller terrace than we do!

Its not getting it into the house that bothers me its it actually being too stupidly big for the room and it looking stupid because of the size
  • A couple of times we've had to take the glass unit out of the UPVC front window in order to get a settee into the house.

Try antique shops/centres. I got a re-covered (brand new covering ) 3 piece suite for £250.It was 1930s. Also got a Victorian Chesterfield that I had re-covered in my choice of fabric for £450. Couldn't afford new and because of a back problem find it hard to get new furniture which is comfortable. I know it's been the topic of a tv programme but if you buy the right old pieces you can genuinely sell them on when you get fed up. Friend of mine actually made a profit from the Edwardian furniture she'd bought at auction when she moved house.

If you go to a centre with lots of stands the people running it have the ok to make a 10% reduction-more than that and you have to contact the dealer. Check prices on E Bay- as far as I know antiques sold on E Bay should sell for dealer rates
