I hope someone has a solution to this:
I missed on the trade in offer that bose were doing ( 250 cashback ) and would like to buy a bose system but there are a bit expensive here around £699 to start. The model i would like sell here for about £999. Is there any way of getting them from the USA as it sells for about $900 the same system and delivery should only be about £30 ? thanks for your help and hope someone has a good solution to this one.
Thanks.

Try
Shop the States
Hope this helps.... (but beware the customs charge)
Also, are you sure the voltage is switcheable, and if not you will need a converter, which can be bulky and/or ugly...0 -
I am pretty certain that you have to pay shipping costs ,import duty and vat for a start, so that could prove to be quite costly. You then also have to think about the cost of shipping back to the USA if there is a problem with your purchase, then you start all over again with import duty and vat. Something to think about there.0

Check out the customs site. There is a downloadable list of the most common internet goods, and the tax rates. The closest thing I could find was mixing decks which has a 3.7% customs charge and standard vat added. And DVD player which has 14% customs and standard vat added. There is also some sort of europe/us blockade going on which means more tax. It's 16% this month and 17% next month.0
