Urgent Help Required - Paypal account limitation

Hi new to the forum,

I was wondering if anybody could help me out with this ridiculous situation I find myself in.

I've been a seller on Ebay for over seven years and a Paypal merchant throughout all of that time. I reguarly sell around 20 items a month, bringing in just over £200 each time. This month I brought in a total of £450 which when landed in my account was instanstly frozen as a result of 'anti money laundering' procedures.

Now I have to provide a number of sensitive pieces of information to confirm who i am, I don't have an issue with this but the time in which this review of my account is taking.

There is over £500 frozen in that account where I can neither withdraw or transfer, the £500 is due to pay towards my holiday and my rent. Yet now I may have to wait up to six months before I can access my money once again.

I have emailed paypal but as expected no response apart from the automated email. Has anybody had this issue before and can you tell me how long to expect this situation to take before it is resolved. My situation really is perilous and I desperately need access to my account.

I can't understand why Paypal can't cross reference the transactions against my Ebay account where they would realise that all fo the money ever paid into that account is down to legitimate ebay auctions, a company that now own's paypal.

To say I'm furious is a massive understatement.

Are you sure its blocked?
I have to prove my identity now, due to the amount of money going through the account. When I log in there is a big yellow screen saying this, but clicking 'My Account' works, and I can transfer in and out money for 120 days, after that they'll suspend it if I haven't confirmed myself.
