800 metres IS about 0.5 miles - so it does have facts to prove it - mathematical facts.

    btw I think Q4 is 1880, not 1884.
cant be the business wasnt started untill 1883 and was invented after that

I saw the 800m per hour bit but thats what they say is the best speed for the pea whereas the question says fastest - do you think this is the same thing?

Another part of my brain is wondering why am I going to so much trouble for a whistle I didn't know I wanted before I saw this post!! LOL

it says "His whistle business was very small until in 1883 The London Metropolitan Police advertised for an idea to replace the policeman’s rattle a cumbersome means of communication for the bobby on his “beat” (the name given to his patrol). Joseph Hudson invented a novel whistle for the purpose. "

if it was invented for that purpose it must have been after 1983 when that purpose came about...i think

also the 800m per hour converts to 0.4970969537898672 miles o 0.5 isn't right either - should we right and tell them and hope we get a free whistle for our efforts!? i think not!
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
