Application Form Help Please

Hello folks,
I need some help concerning a job application form I'm currently filling in and thought you posters on this board might be able to help.
On the guidelines for completing the form it says the following: 'Your application form should be accompanied by a covering letter. In the covering letter you should detail your suitability for the post by addressing the key areas identified in the Person Specification'.
Lovely, no problems with this.
However, on the application form itself there is a section entitled Information in Support of This Application which states: 'Applicants may use this section to provide any information they wish including any relevant experience, interests and activities outside work'.
In the past I've either had to send a CV plus covering letter or applied online where a covering letter wasn't required, so my question to you is: what do I put in on the form bit that I don't include in the covering letter? How do avoid regurgitating the same stuff for both sections? How should the covering letter differ (apart from the obvious) in content from the Info in Support section?
Any assistance greatly received. I have to go out but I'll come back on later to answer any questions etc.
Thanks

i wouldnt worry about repeating stuff at all, especially key words, it could be someone else having first contact with the cv and application form, then sending the application form only, to the manager to look at.0
