Does anyone know what their sizes are like? My DD is quite tall but skinny and is 5 in August. A lot of the tops and trousers I buy are age 6 but im not sure about a pinafore etc. I dont want to buy an age 5 if it will be too short by xmas. The size guide is about general sizes. thanks

EDIT - just noticed I can return instore, Ill buy the 5 and change it if need be.

yes that is exactly what we need lol, he dosnt like the adjustable waist either says they dig in!!! lol
so just pull up shorts and trousers but cant see on the web site, they all look like fastners

If you look at the description box on the bottom left it says that
Mock fly - 3-6yrs, Fly opening and hook and bar - 7-11yrs

The mock fly is just what it says - you need to pull them on not do them up. I think this is the same on all styles. Hope that helps!!:)

Anyone know if the 3-4-2 offer is in store .
My son is starting school in September:eek: & i'd like him to try them on first as the different makes/ages vary so much & i'm not too familiar with m& s sizes.
    Thanks

You could always try instore and then order on line as free delivery. Or, as I do, order a variety of sizes then just return the ones that are not suitable. Just remember the 3 for 2 though as it may affect your returns if returning say 1 item.

It really brings it home to you how quick they grow up when you see them in uniform for the first time. :)

M&S tend to be quite big sizes, but I have in the past ordered stuff and then have taken it back in August because they have grown hugely  M&S has always been brilliant and just exchanged them with no questions. I have to say that I only buy M&S for uniforms because they last so well, the only downside is on the boys trousers the seams in the crotch can go sometimes (soemthing to do with slide tackles I think lol!) but 5 minutes with a needle and thread does the job!!

:rotfl: Had to laugh at the slide tackles comment. I've had to fix a fair few pair of school pants due to that!

Thanks OP, I've ordered some trousers and polo shirts for September. Never been so organised before :T
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

I went in store today but there was no 3-4-2 offer on. Good to see what they had tho, the quality of them looks good.

My daughter starts in September too, so going to order mine online, will order more than I need and take some back if need to. Quite excited!!

    Thanks OP :T

I find M&S quite small. I often read the reviews of clothes and if the general consensus is that something comes up small I buy the next size up.

Wish I could take advantage of this. I've had to fork out a fortune for my little girl's uniform, she's only going to be in reception. It's all got logos- £6.50 for one polo shirt
