jsa 6 month interview

hi im a long time lurker/first time poster so go easy on me please
i have been uneployed for 6 months and have got to go to an interview at the job centre plus tomorrow
im worried about this firstly because i have not recieved any rejection letters at all, i have applied for probably 90 or more jobs suitable for me.
secondly im worried because im unsure what happens, i have read by looking through various forums that the jcp will force me into voluntary work, and also make me go on the new deal courses. Im currently doing a various courses through a scheme called J.E.T, and to be honest its helping alot, so i really dont want to swap from that to the new deal
im 26 years old, can anyone advise me on what will happen at this interview and what help etc will be made available to me?

They beat you with sticks

Im not sure if its changed but when I had mine it was just a review to see if my job seekers agreement was still relevant.
After that I had to see a jobcentre adviser weekly for a few weeks, so they could prod and poke me to get me to pull my finger out. They will also give you a form that you can use to bribe an employer to employ you by giving them a grand.
After that I couldnt tell you what happens because i was lucky enough to find a job.
Your a bit of a way off them forcing you to do unpaid work, thats at the end of a long line of options, if everything else fails.0 -

thanks for taking the time to reply:)
EDIT: i dont know whether im getting mixed up with the new deal for 18-24 year olds, that may be different than the 25 + new deal0 -
you may be asked to go on a new deal course but it wont be yet. Just tell them you havent heard back from anyone. They might say your cv needs tweaking or something like that its not that bad though just a chat really.:footie:0

do you have any idea after how many months they will try and get me to do this?
i only ask as the J.E.T scheme im on are putting me through proper courses that i need.
obviously im still looking and applying for jobs, the problem i have is that jet have said that if the jcp put me on any other scheme, they wont recieve funding for me, so they will just stop everything they are doing for me (if you get my drift)0 -
i think its 18 months but have a word with your advisor! Hope you get to stay on your course as new deal is awful i wouldnt wish it on anyone.:footie:0
