Byron & Keeley debt management

Has anyone else come across this d/m company? My sis-in-law has recently applied and been accepted by them for various debts amounting to approx. £13,500. She has a limited income, but is paying them 15% (at £300 p.m) to clear her existing debts.

Please tell me if we're on the right track, or whether we should try to opt out of this company!

MANY THANKS,
Jo

Tell her to stop paying them anything immediately! this company will take % of her monthly payment for themselves meaning less money goes to paying off her debts.

The CCCS and Payplan do not charge a single penny for their services and they are registered charities. Get her to give them a call. Contact details are at the bottom of this thread. :)

By going to one of the above she could literally knock years off the time it takes to pay back! :D
  • Another point which has been brought up on previous posts. Her creditors may be more willing to accept proposals put forward by the free charities (CCCS, Payplan, CAB) as they may take the view that if she can afford to pay a DMC, then she can afford to pay more off her debts.
Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)
CSA case closed on 02/09/10 :beer:
  • Many thanks for your help!
