1st Central insurance 5 months and counting

I was hit by an Aviva insured taxi 5 months ago today.
I have called my insurance company, 1st Central 20 plus times.
I have emailed too.
Five months and I still haven't received a cheque.
1st Central are useless, they don't call back they don't email and they don't settle accounts.
1st Central may be cheap but I have spent hours on the phone.
The 0800 840 6733 number sent to me on their policy for their claim line doesn't actually get monitored, so I spent 10 hours listening to it ring and ring and ring. Call the renewal line and 2 rings to answer.
So this is a 5 month anniversary card to all the 1st Central claims advisers I have spoken to. Thanks for nothing. Thanks for marking the claim "urgent" (lol). Thanks for passing it onto a supervisor who will call me back today HaHaHa.
Five months and counting. I don't hold out any hope that you will help me.
Btw 1st Central, my policy number is GPC155255669/09P, just incase you want to send me an email back on the 6 month anniversary. Don't worry though I won't hold my breath because I know you like to play hard to get and make me do all the calling.
I am aware that this forum isn't 1st Central's complaints line, but I think that this will give anyone else cause to think twice before paying for their "insurance".

I thought i'd check on here if anyone had experience of 1st central.
Just got my quotes from moneysupermarket, i need immediate cover after being messed about by esure. Cheapest is 1st central £386, next is Endsleigh £435, swift cover £444. I'll be paying the extra £50 for peace of mind.
Good luck with your claim!

I am glad I could help you in avoiding the same mistake I made.0

The only mistake you seem to have made is buying the cheapest insurance you can possibly find. /stuckrecord0

Yes I agree however in my own defence I have been driving for 22 years and neither hit nor been hit by another driver. So for years I was wondering why I payed for more expensive cover that had never been used. It may make sense now but I was thinking with my wallet which I thought this site was all about.
I made this mistake, just trying to help others avoid it now.0
