If you applied for your 'score' at your current address and you are on the electoral roll at the old address this will certainly have a huge impact on your ability to get credit - I would guess that it will also be affecting your score (but don't know for sure as never been interested in the score myself).

I wondered whether this would have an impact as it said on Experian that the Elecoroll roll plays a bif part and I was still regiesterd with my old address! I have filled in a form today to change the address to my current address so hopefully that will better my score!

I am also going to pay off my loan so that should increase my score as well!!
  • What is the frequency of the 'accidental' missed payments? and how many? anything over 2 recently will hinder I would suggest. Also, random missed payments is an indicator that you're not confident enough to pay by direct debit, which may be incorporated in the scoring.
Paying off the loan wont improve your rating, paying it back and never missing a payment may. However, if you're able to its always better to pay off expensive debt than have savings (if feasible for your lifestyle). Just my two penn'orth, hope that helps.
    Friendly greeting!

well i cant understand the missed payments as everything other than the next catalogue, EON Electricity and Ebay is paid by direct debit and I have never ever had a missed direct debit payment! It says there are 6 late payments but then when i check it only says one and which was for the next catalogue which I never use, my Girlfirend is responsible for this lol! Can Ebay give you bad credit if you pay your fees late?
