Is it worth buying a leather handbag?

Hi all, I used to never go near leather handbags as I thought they were too expensive but then I got a mid range leather one from M&S for about £30 and its still going strong after three years. I do get tempted to go for a non leather one next time and pay about a tenner but I don't know if its worth it. What do other think?

It depends if you want to change your handbag frequently or if you want to buy a bag that will last.
I have several leather bags that I use mainly for work and a few different coloured/patterned fabric bags for various occasions.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Thanks for your reply Phillipa. I tend to use the same bag all the time for work and general day use and I have a different smaller one for when I go out in the evening.0
