Payments not taken
Options
I have recently bought a kitchen on finance, the kitchen was delivered on 6 March 2010 and I was told payments would be taken 2 weeks later, to date nothing has been taken out my bank and I have received no correspondence regarding my agreement. Additionally I have checked my credit report and the finance agreement is not on there.
What has happened? Will I be hit eventually with a bill for the kitchen?

I guess you're kind of hoping you're getting the kitchen for nothing? Any money not taken in the last couple of months, I would hold onto it and not spend it. They will ask for it.0

you dont get anything for nothing in this life! I was just wondering why this has happened and whether if I leave it to carry on will they then say I will have to pay more per month etc, I have already saved the money0

Double check the agreement, could be there is a payment free period built into the loan, that you are not aware of. As suggested I would not spend the money, put it somewhere safe until they ask for it.

Have you rung them and asked? Surely this would be the first port of call.0 -
Could be the OP is hoping that the company have forgotten about the agreement, so they do not wish to rock the boat!!! Could be wrong:D!

Could well be, but how long do the company have to claim payment?0
-
6 years so don't spend it just yet0

The same thing has happened to me, I have contacted B&Q about it but still no contract or payments made!0

Most of these credit agreements involve physical bits of paper being sent from store to the finance company. Sometimes they are held up or lost and it can take a few months to get sorted. Generally the payments will not start until the paperwork is sorted.0
