Thanks for the replys.
Clayshooting sounds fun !
I was unsure what to do to- I met the women from polestars when I was at the venue and she was really nice- they do burlesque, grease, bollywood and dirty dancing nights .
Im having my hen two weeks before the wedding- as too much to do before the wedding and want to have a fun night out.
In theend I never thought of a drag act but the guy suggested it and I thought that be cool. Will show a drag/camp dvd and having a glamour theme.
The guy at the venue told us of a fantastic hen last weekend. The bride was dressed as bo beep and all the other girls dressed as her sheep. They all had " if you spot this sheep text boo peep here " on their outfits and went on a pub crawl with the bride staying behind getting texts from complete strangers saying they had found her sheep ! Mad ! lol
Haha that is so good! What do you mean the bride staying behind though?0 -
Sounds great to me!!! I would say if the do is going to cost more then £50 then make sure there is an option to just do some of it for £20-£30 for people who aren't as flush.Bump due 22nd September0

I've only been to two hen nights;
One cost £50, which included a picnic in a park (we all brought food) and a cabaret club.
The other was probs less - we went to a posh cocktail bar in Mayfair (Mum helped with the bill bless her) followed by a cheesy club.
Both were great fun, so I don't see the need to pay more.
If I can avoid it, I wont be doing anything that requires an overnight stay in a hotel to save my hens money.
But I understand this isn't always easy with people who have friends far & wide.0 -
May I suggest that you ask your hens how much they can afford? Having been on the recieve end of a sever tounge lashing about how I should have been saving for months before then hen do was annouced so I could afford to go, I would suggest asking the hens before committing, however if I was just asked £30 I wouldnt have minded at all!0

The bride stayed at the venue pub with some of her pals. It did sound very original.
The guy said it was hilarous at the endo fthe night seeing all these " sheep" dancing in the nightclub with some cowboys from a stag do ! lol0 -

I see, just sounded a bit weird that she stayed behind when all the "sheep" went out though. However, I may be stealing that idea!0 -
I'm used to spending about £100 on hen weekends, some have been more, some less. Then drinks etc on top. However, your £30 is a massive bargin! You seem to have got a lot for very little. Well done!0
