I dropped my camera down the toilet
but luckily its covered by my credit card insurance. Its dead and its obvious to me its a write off but they want "A Written repair estimate / Confirmation the item is damaged beyong economical repair"
The only shops locally are jessops kodak and the likes but i heard they send it away and costs like £45 to get a quote which seeing as they're just be telling me what i already know is ridiculous. Anyone know a better idea? Obviously something cheap / free is my preference. Sorry if its a stupid qn just dont want to be paying out silly money for a piece of paper
Its a Canon IXUS if that makes any difference.

Are there no independent camera shops near your, alternatively give try the shop you bought it from. If you are still stuck ring the Insurer and ask them what they suggest.
