I've also applied through Halifax but not at that stage yet; survey was due to be carried out last Friday but was put on hold as they wanted further proof of income. Survey now re-booked for next Wednesday. Out of interest, how long did you have to wait for a survey to be carried out?

Just out of interest, did you apply online or via your local branch?

And are you employed or self-employed?

Applied online via IFA. Am employed - our app was randomly picked to be audited! Annoying as our IFA was on holiday last week which is why it got delayed - only able to send docs yesterday.

My Survey took place after about a week..

ok so whats the process with the lenders? do they only survey the property after they have checked u will be valid for the mortgage??? so in effect if the survey takes place your mortage will most probably be approved, i am correct???

I think so - I assume I am now approved subject to valuation, especially as I had to send those extra docs in. I think all it is hinging on now is if they think the property is worth what is being offered - fingers crossed!
