upvc door company in Glasgow that doesn't charge a fortune?

Looking to get a new back door for our house - supplied and fitted (and possibly a small side window). Not looking for anything fancy, just half glass, white upvc. Yet a quote yesterday from advanced windows in EK came back at £995 for the both! (and they tried to talk us getting the whole house done...lol) Is it really that expensive just for a door and a small window???? Another quote - just for the door - from another company came back at £800.

Any recommendations from reputable double galzing companies who don't charge a fortune?

Doesn't seem hugely expensive to me. Have used Southside windows and to a lesser extent) Gavin and Wright in the past, both excellent service nice windows and a good job all round, have highly recommended them to friends and family who have all been delighted. Have had a really bad experience with a very 'reputable' well known double glazing company in the past which involved demolishing the front bay window of my house causing major damage, and that was just the worst incident, many more small problems took months to sort. As a result of this I now would only go on personal recommendation and preferably from a friend where you can see the finished job.

Hi just in case you thought of Dalmation windows in East Kilbride, i wouldnt use them the quality isnt good we got a front door from them glass was well scratched and aftersales is not good.
