SE but looking for work - do I need a P45?

HI everyone
I'm currently self employed but (like a lot of businesses at the moment) business is very slow, so I am looking for a job, something part time maybe or temporary to allow me to keep up with the business and hopefully things will improve in the next few months - the turnover is not enough to pay domestic bills and so on, so I need to work.
Anyway, since I'm SE I self assess each year - should I be successful in my job hunt, do I need to give a P45 over to my new employer or would I just be taxed on BR and can then sort things out at the end of the financial year through my self assessment form? If I need my P45, how do I get one as I will be keeping up the self employment status too (so paying Class 2 NI and so on).
Sorry if this has been asked before, I had a look but couldn't see the answer.
Thanks everyone

No, you wont have a P45 as you have not left a job. You need to ask the employer for a form P46 which you can sign to say whether this is your only or main job. You choose where your personal allowances are allocated.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
