affordable accommodation in St Andrews

Any tips/sources for finding affordable rented accommodation in St Andrews? Someone I know has started a new (not very well paid) job there. All the rental accommodation seems to be aimed at students and in St Andrews students mean big money.

for affordable accomodation in st andrews the only option is probably a tent, its probably best to re-locate to a nearby town or village.

My partner worked in St Andrews but had a really cheap but decent flat in Dundee, most days it took him 15 mins to travel, on busy days it was half an hour.

Ditto above, or even Cupar. Forget St.Andrews. I studied there first about 10 years ago; after Prince William it went from expensive to silly, but I didn't realise the true value of money then.... Now there for PhD, but live in London- it's cheaper!

Try outisde st andrews towards dundee, St andrews is sill prices. Even a B&B will set you back £120 a night!!

someone mentioned to me a place called murray place other than the name though dont know anything about it, all they said was very nice and cheap but not sure if their cheap would be my cheap lol
