Most bizarre conversation

Im now pretty well sorted wit paying my creditors , thanks to all the advise on this board.
I was thinking this morning about the most bizarre conversations in sorting this out.
The Winner must be GE Finance and the "Its not our fault we told you wrong account details" conversation during which I spent over 1 hour on the phone to some call centre in Asia trying to get someone with very little speaking english skills to understand that the details on the back of my statement were the ones I used for a standing order. How was I to know they were a print on an old type of stationary.
This was closely followed by Barclaycard and the "Mobile phone and internet are luxuries" call in which they failed to understand that being self employed nesceesitted a mobile phone and an internet connection was required as the nature of employment was iT based. Their solution. Ask someone to take calls for you.

Hi Barclaycard are a nightmare, and GE Capital, they call me all the time, my GE account is with Viking collection services now, so at least they are UK based.
Barclaycard are really nice until you miss a payment and then they are ringing you 24/7 I sympathise. I had my Barclaycard passed back and fore between them and mercers debt collection and they were really horrible, weren't helpful and wouldn't agree to my offers, I offered them a £100 a month usually only pay £79 and they took £200 from my account and put me over my limit, nasty people

wouldn't that cost you just the same if not more?!
they are useless!
i am not racist but i hate being put through to call centres where they can't understand you or vice versa, my doc when i was pregnant (and extremely ill) was foreign n my and OH did not have a clue what he was saying to us which was extremely dangerous as i had what can be a life threatening illness-obv me n baby survived though! yeay!:j
i think foreign people should be able to get jobs here but not ones where they have to be able to spaek perfect english if they can't even if they speak very good english, i have enough probs at our call centre understanding some of the old men that come through!
sorry that was totally of the point!official dfw nerd club member no 214
