Hello!
I've been lurking here for a while but have now plucked up the courage to say "hi" and announce my intention to become mortgage-free a.s.a.p.!
I'm getting married in October and as a result have been putting quite a large amount of money away each month in order to pay for it. It suddenly dawned on me at the beginning of the year that once the wedding was over I could continue putting this large amount of money away but put it towards the mortgage rather than into savings and pay off the mortgage! :j
I've also dug out my old porcelain piggy bank that I got over 20 years ago from an aunt and am pressing him into use as my mortgage pig! (Brilliant idea btw!)
Wish me luck!
