When I was claiming JSA, the first 6 months i was claiming JSA Contributions, then after the 6 months was up, I had to fill in a JSA3 form but it took 4 weeks to process, and in the meantime HB and CB benefits were stopped until the JSA3 was processed. I would fill it in as soon as possible because it did take some weeks to go though.
Thank god my unemployed nightmare days are over!! I dont know how i managed claiming JSA for under a year but I did.
Get the form in as soon as possible.0 -
I just got made redundant and made a claim for JSA a week ago . I've just been informed I'm entitled to nothing because I havent made enough contributions yet I've sucsessfully claimed JSA before . They won't give me income based because my partner works more than 24 hours a week . I think it totally stinks . How do people manage to move to this country and receive benefits without making prior contributions ? I've paid into the system all my working life and this is how I get treated .0

If you have really paid in ALL your working life then you would have full NI stamps for the last two years and be able to get contribution based JSA.AprilTheDuck wrote: »I just got made redundant and made a claim for JSA a week ago .
