Apologies for the late notice but my youngest has just left to go to this. When I looked at the web site it says the game is free. Kick off 7pm at Murrayfield, Edinburgh.

Yes it is free but it is not Scotland V Japan, if you read the small print it is "Scotland XV - a selection of senior squad members and Scotland A players - will take on a Japan Select"

Regardless of the fact it is not a full international, it should still be good entertainment.

Typical of the SRU.
I would have gone & taken my wife but we really need more notice to plan ahead.
I searched every channel on Freeview, Sky, Red Button, Alba (JOKE !) & even Welsh but no coverage. WHY NOT?

For thr reason I mentioned in my previous post. It wasn't a full international fixture. It was just a selection of senior players and a Japanese select.

The SRU had sold so few tickets that they had to give them away just to get the small crowd who did attend

Why try to sell tickets to an out of season game?
They should have publicised free game from the start & a few more would have turned up to watch & maybe some non-traditional rugby watchers.
Very poor result for a Scottish XV with so many internationals playing.

This wasn't a capped international more of a training game , although it was a Scotland XV , 95% of the players were full Scottish Internationalists . Around 8000 people did turn up (myself included). SRU dropped the ball on advertising this one , shaem really , was a nice night (weather wise)
