Any restaurant lunchtime specials in Ballymena?

I wanted to take my son to the Go-Sun chinese (Ballymena) for their lunchtime special tomorrow (Wednesday) but having read the local paper, it is closed tomorrow. Anyone know where else there is a good chinese etc that have a special on at lunchtime. It was £4.99 for adults and £2.99 for kids at the Go-Sun. I have also been to the indian at Galgorm, and that was nice, and I am looking for some suggestions.

if Chinese food is what you're after, Double Happiness is great. I can't remember off the top of my head what their lunch time price is, but they always used to do a very reasonably priced set lunch, so I'm assuming they still do.

I second the suggestion of Montgomerys, the food is excellent and the prices very reasonable. There can be huge queues which are off putting, but they move really quickly. Obviously, this is not the relaxed restuarant experience you might get elsewhere, but the food is good.

The other place that springs to mind is the Blackstone. Again, I don't know about specials or anything, but any time I have eaten in here it has been really good, and good value too.
  • China Garden (just down the road from the Pentagon) does a buffet lunch at a similar price to the Go-Sun. The New Manley chinese on Springwell St, facing the Tower Centre car park, also does a set price 'business man's lunch'.

Have had good lunches too at the Blackstone, a slightly pricier option than the buffets etc though.
  • Thank-you for your valued suggestions. I shall take my son to one of those chinese restaurants for fun. I was just wanting to 'give him a wee treat' as he worked hard in his exams.

    Thanks for all the replys.
