How Much Do You Pay for a Dry Cut?

Desperately trying to get a dry cut for this afternoon (got 3 days' work starting tomorrow, so it has to be this afternoon).

I've just spent an hour walking round town, two hairdressers closed, other three want £15-20 for a dry cut!!

I was hoping for about £10 :(

Now googling and phoning.... but so far had quotes of £15 and £25.

Nearest next town is 20 miles away.... and any hairdressing college salon is 25 miles away and needs booking in advance, they're closed this week, and they're not open every day either.

Outrageous prices for a dry cut really.

How much is it where you live?

£15-20 tends to be the going rate around here, too.

Glad you found a cheap one! Round here it's anything from £10 - £20 for a dry cut although I've found a lovely hairdresser who does a wash cut and blow dry for £20, well worth it, he's great!!

OK. So, back from the £7.50 haircut. It did what it says on the tin ... it's cut. Not done too badly, I've booked in for cap/roots/highlights at the weekend .... not sure how much that is, but I think it's another bargain price of about £30-35. She seems to just "have a salon/part of the ground floor of the house/been there years/does the hair of whoever wanders in". Nice enough, but of an age where she just opens the door and if anybody walks in that's good, otherwise she'll watch the telly as she's about retirement age.

    :)
