Satisfied in full

Options
Hello, in anticipatition of a response from Natwest.
I have made a good offer to Natwest to settle a joint loan and await there response.
I have requested as part of the F&F, that they mark any entry on a credit reference agency file relating to the above account as "satisfied" in full.
Has anyone achieved this?
Does anyone know if Natwest or creditors generally have legal obligations to mark the file as bad credit or similar or is it simply at there own discretion?

regards
David

Generally banks will only agree to mark your file as partially satisfied. which will correctly reflect what happened and will let other lenders know you short settled the debt.
Occasionally people have been successful in getting banks to mark it as satisfied (in full), even when it has been a reduced full & final settlement, but this appears to be more the exception than the norm.
