Greetings,
After taking a 3.5 yr break from work to re-educate myself with a degree, city & guilds and a Microsoft qualification I'm looking for work again.
I've uploaded my Cv to jobsite, monster and fish4jobs.
Can anyone recommend any other websites they found useful?
I also look at the local university jobs page and the jobcentre/job plus site.
Thanks
Rob

Has anyone had a positive response to online jobsites and has anyone had an interview or a job from them?
Of about 200 job applications online I have had no positive response.
Of 15 newspaper applications i.e. written I've had 6 interviews.0 -

When I left Uni a few years back I got 3 interviews from it and plenty of phone calls (shame they were all out of my county and didn't not want to travel).
I then decided to retrain further spending more of my money of courses (and time).
So far as of last week I had one phone call, unfortunately too far away.
I use the auto search functions for jobs of type xx that are xx miles from my house, these are emailed to me daily.0 -
This one's useful for finding vacancies. It lists vacancies across a variety of job sites

Out of 48 jobs I've applied for on job websites or via email, I've had 7 interviews and another one is in the pipeline. The recruitment agencies in my area that deal specifically with my type of jobs seem to give a quicker response and arrange interviews.Newlywed at the point I joined the forum... now newly separated0 -

The biggest question is what type of role are you looking for? What is your specialism? That will dictate the best place to put your CV.:jI am an Employment Law Paralegal and an experienced Human Resources Manager and offer my guidance as simply that ... guidance :j0
