Target price for domestic heating oil

Does anybody know where to find target prices for domestic heating oil (1000 litres of 28ps)? It's pretty unrewarding phoning around all the distrbutors and the boilerjuice and greenwelly (yes really!) websites both returned prices that were worse than I could get straight off the bat.
It's hard to believe that in this day and age of consumer regulation up the Ying-Yang there appears to be none that applies to heating oil.
Thanks.
First post so please be gentle with me!

As far as I am aware most suppliers do not quote online. Heating oil prices are not controlled in the same way as gas and electricity and therefore it is a 'free' market
Try Southern Counties although ithe web page asks you for some contact data (but no checking on what you enter).
Boiler juice give you a quote in about 24hrs and is apparently a buying syndicate.
One of my local dealers has a list A and a list B set of prices so its worth pressing individual dealers for a discount. But I always phone around 5/6 dealers to get the best spot price-and the dealer with the best price does vary.0 -
I think you can do nothing more than phone all the local suppliers. I am in the same boat, although I tend to use the same company all the time now. The difference in price was so small it was not worth the phone calls. My supplier sent me a calender this year with a free £10 off my next order voucher. My 75 yr old neighbour phones them all up and complains that they are too dear and he demands 2p off. They give it too him as well! So there must be a little flexibility. I just paid 24p plus VAT last week.
