Salutations,
I am looking for some advice please on dealing with Roxburghe.
Five years ago I took out a Barclaycard which I unfortunatley I ran into debt. Originally I owed £500.00 and barclays kept adding interest until it hit £1000.00 they then sold the debt on, I had been paying that company £10.00 per month for Three years when just before christmas My direct debit bouced and then the debt was sold on again to Roxgurghe who informed me that interest had been added and that I now owed £1300.00.
Ive paid the debt 3 times over and yet I now owe more than original debt.
Is there anything I can do to end this without having to pay another £1300.00?
Roxburghe are threatening me that they will send someone to my home, I assume a bailiffe, to recover the debt.
Anyone with any ideas or advice would be very much appreciated.
Thank you

£10 per month for 3 years is only £360 - not even the original £500 so how do you make that you've paid it already 3 times over? Did you pay anything to Barclays between the debt being £500 to it becoming £1000?
Have you paid anything to anyone since before Christmas? If not, why not? It's so much better to face things and get them sorted as you have discovered, these things tend to spiral out of control.
I don't know much about debt collection agencies, but you need to contact them with a view to setting up some kind of arrangement otherwise they will add charges if they send someone to your house. I'm pretty sure DCA's can't charge interest on your debt but they can add costs. (someone correct me if I'm wrong please).
Sorry I can't be of more help.
