Not quite accurate as a freebie, I'm afraid - you have to send in an sae, so you've got the cost of an envelope and 2 stamps. As foam earplugs cost about £1.99 for 3 pairs in Boots last time I looked, it's probably cheaper to just buy them.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

Just came across this and wanted to let you know, these are exactly the same as the ones I get for my husband through the PPE (personal protective equipment) suppliers, who supply uniforms for the company I work for. I pay 11quid for a box of 200 pairs!! If you know any local construction/utility uniform suppliers, might be worth seeing if they have them.

I gotta say though, its worth getting these instead of Boots 3 for £2 ones- I took them away with me when I was backpacking (lots of noisy hostel rooms) and they were infinitely better at cutting out sound than regular earplugs... only prob being I only seem to be able to buy them in bulk so now I have about 50 pairs of earplugs at home!
