I took up the same offer from PC Pro magazine (same publisher as Computer Shopper) about 6 months ago and never received my free toolkit. However, at least it's a simple and hassle-free process to cancel the subscription.

Same thing happened to me last year - no tool kit turned up. Thought it was just me but obviously not.

I got this last year. It's a good tool kit for free. But it doesn't cost £26. No way. Not in any shop would it cost £26. Not least in Poundstretcher where you can buy it for £2.99! I've seen them in there myself. The extact same ones.

I received it last year and then cancelled the subscription. The toolkit was ok for free but not of great use.

Took out my subscription via Quidco. £1 for 3 issues, received my toolkit last week (about 4 weeks from starting subscription) and got £7 from Quidco for the privellege.
Sure, the tools aren't worth a right lot but it's a handy kit - saves digging out real tools - and I turned a £6 profit on the deal. The magazine is a fairly worthless comic so I'll be canceling my subsscription now.

I e.mailed Computer Shopper as I never received my free tool kit, received an e.mail stating they had cancelled my subscription, I then replied saying "I suppose now I will not be receiving the free gift", to which they sent the following e.mail

"Thank you for your recent email regarding the Computer Shopper magazine.

Firstly I would like to apologise for the inconvenience this may cause
    you.

I am able to confirm that we are currently awaiting further stock of the
'Rolson Toolkit,' due to popular demand.

If I may ask you to bare with us, as soon as this is received the item
    will be dispatched to you.".

I will now wait and see if it does appear in the post.
