Hello all, just found this website after someone told me to come online to look at this. Basically over the last 6-12 months the debts have caught up with me, and then losing my job didn't help (March 18th), luckily I have just found another job which I start tomorrow weheyyyyy but the week in hand is crap. Ok so here we go. I have a credit card which I am £1566 in debt, my overdraft is at £880 but it's over on £913 so the bank is gonna rape me with charges again. Therefore when my direct debits come out there won't be enough cash, I have been going round in circles with Lloyds TSb for ages. I am cancelling all direct debits and setting them up with a new account because I am not gonna be able to pay them again. Then i have just little debts like Tv license - £25, but then utility bills come gas/lecci - £360, water £320, I was paying these monthly until I lost my job. Also car insurance - £160, catalogue - £139 and thats about it. i'm really worried though, I live alone and I am entitled to some housing benefit and council tax benefit but they have been faffing about for 5 months ( Bolton council ) so have had no help with rent which is £550 p/m. But through missing payments my credit rating will be crap so can't move as no deposit to rent anywhere else and they wouldn't take me because I have a low income, I cant claim working tax credits because I am not 25 i just don't know what to do. I have the same ad everyone else, rent - 550, gas/lecci 50 , water - 30 , car ins - 80, petrol - 80, groceries - 100 and the other bits and bobs. My income is around £1250 after tax. Should I get a loan for 1 large payment or should I just try and get all overtime in and pay it off myself. Advice would be appreciated. Thankyu in advance
