in Loans
Hello everyone, I have only just found this website, and after reading it I can safely say I am well an truly in debt. I lost my job in March and luckily start another on 01/06/2010. The thing is bills and debts have caught up with me. I am in debt with a number of utility companies, a maxed out credit card and other bits and bobs. To the amount of around £4500. I have never really been brilliant with money but always try to save for the things I want. Now my overdraft is over it's limit and the bank are charging me for being over. My credit rating is not at 0 but I can't imagine it being any good after these missed payments. I rent my home and am safe here with my landlord who I know so there will be no chance of losing my home. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on getting a loan. I did try with my bank online but was refused. I just want to get the loan so I have 1 monthly payment to pay back rather than trying to sort all of them out individually. I am 23 and have an average credit rating ( I guess ). Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks to all in advance
Mark

If you do a search for 'debt consolidation' you will find that very few people will recommend this as a way of clearing your debt. There may be lower monthly payments but you will usually end up paying over a longer period of time, thus it will cost you more, plus you need to ensure that you change your spending habits so you don't run up your credit card debts again. Why not have a look at the Debt Free Wannabe board where you will find loads of helpful advice about reducing your outgoings and if you post up some details about your financial affairs, those guys can work marvels.0
