Credit file & Overdraft

Options
Hi,

Hope everyone is well......just been trying to sort out my credit history over the last 4 months (god its a stressful thing isnt it) and I have sucessfully had some incorrect information removed on there.
The query I have is that in April 2009 I filed for bankrupcy and 6 months later I was discharged, when I ordered my credit files from Equifax and Experian I noticed that there was nothing on there with regards to my bankrupcy both on the paper format and the internet format.

Can anyone advise me what to do or what has happened??....and also if applying for an overdraft with my bank will get turned down because of the bankrupcy although there is nothing on my reports?

I look forward to your replies.

Thanks

I would ask the individual credit reference agencies as to why this is not showing up on your credit file. The reason you are getting declines on applications is because you may have defaults etc on the credit file, and many lenders will ask you if you have previously been made bankrupt.

If you answer yes, some lenders will automatically decline. Contact experian/equifax and ask them - after all they hold all of your information.
    Best Regards
