    Hi Jason and welcome.

I'm sure you will receive all the help you require to get you through this.

May I ask if the plan you have is arranged through a free debt organisation, such as for example CCCS, Payplan etc?

If not then I would suggest you go this direction, with help and advice from this thread.

In my opinion I think bankruptcy should be the very last option.
There are ways around this, and you will find loads of people in the same situation as yourself, and even with more debt that have come through it.

An arrangement can be made by one of these free debt organisations, and it will feel like a great weight have been lifted.;)

(I am also from Wales (South).

Also just to say, if the current payment plan is not working, then I am sure another one can be set up.;)

    Hi Jason

I would definately think about going to a free debt organisation, they obviously charge nothing, and would not bother again with that current company, I know it probably seemed good at the time, but you will find these free organisations very helpful all the way.

The link that Fatbelly posted about DRO is another option.

And there are a few ways around this.

You will also find that CCCS staff post on this thread in the week, not sure about bank holiday, but maybe its worth you also posting to them as well, you will find their details at the top of this thread.

As well as the company Fatbellly posted, also check out the CCCS here as well:
    http://www.cccs.co.uk/

    And payplan here:

    You will get through this.;)

Jason - another thought as well.

If you don't mind me asking.

If you have taken out loans/credit cards/store cards/car finance/catalogues etc, have you also been paying for insurance that have been added to any of these that you don't require or did not want?
    Maybe they added it automatically?

Is so then, you may have a case of being mis sold the insurance, which is also known as Payment Protection Insurance (PPI), many have been successful for reclaiming on this, and if any of this occurs to you, and your successful in reclaiming then any refund would be a help for you to help pay the debt.

For more info on PPI mis selling check here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

I thought I should just mention it, because if any of the debt your paying back is for loans/credit cards etc, which also have insurance and your have not been able to use it, then you could try to reclaim.
