German Potato Soup

Is there anyone of German extraction on here that has a recipe for Traditional German Potato Soup as I am really getting into making homemade soups as my gluten intollerance means that Heinz Tomato Soup is getting pretty boring and my budget is frugal, but my Pea Soup is really getting good, add a finely chopped potato to the last 10 minutes of cooking before you run the blitz through it makes a good diference.
Dont know if this is being too fussy but I was after a traditional recipe from around the Frankfurt area as everytime I had to go to Germany I always went to the "Frankfurt Haus" restaurant on the road out to the Airport (its near the Queens Hotel, now known I think as the Holiday Inn Airport North) if anyone knows the area as they used to do this home made potato soup with a choice of garnishes at the last minute the best being slivers of raw fish which then cooked in the hot soup while it was being brought to the table.

The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0
