I would also ring National Debtline tomorrow as well and get a second opinion on what the CAB has told you. I am concerned about their advice re: your pension, they may well be right but a second opinion never hurt anyone.

Please offer any advice you feel will help. My court date is Thursday morning.. feeling very nervous.
One last question that I have (well for now, anyway..) is that I found a forum message dating back a few years that commented about housing benefit. Once you are bankrupt I understand that you do not pay tax, but you will need to pay what you would have been paying in tax to the OR. Now from this older forum message apparently once they had notified the Council that they were not paying tax, the Council took this to be more income and then they were no longer entitled to housing benefit even though the money was going straight out again to the OR. This is a great concern and I would appreciate if anyone has heard of this happening or has experienced this?
A great thank you for all your advice so far..0 -
I would drop the holiday and up groceries to £ 450-470 or so and get some contents insurance with accidental damage asap, £20 ish usually.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
