Private Loan for a Student?

I am a full time law student, working P/T - earning around £6000 a year.
I am looking to borrow £2000 in addition to the grants and loans offered from the Student loan company - I will be in a position to repay this loan over 1-2 years... So will private loan companies consider students with a low income? If so, can anyone reccomend any firms who cater for students in particular?
Thanks in advance..

what bank are you in? a lot of banks try to cater as much as they can for students-it is worth visiting your branch (better to go in and explain situation than ring) to see what they can offer you.official dfw nerd club member no 214

Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!0 -
I am currently with both Halifax and Natwest. So do bank managers / advisers have the discretion to offer students loans or is there strict criteria in place?0

When i was at uni. I had a natwest student account and was offered an interest free overdraft of about 2k. I would advise you speak to your student rep at the bankI owe £3233 @ 0%0
