Hey, had a revised gas and electric bill from powergen after giving them our readings, we are 11.59 in credit!!
It must be down to this board's tips like switching applicances off at the plug when not in use and I have also changed our water heater to only come on for 10 mins at night time and we have plenty of hot water for showers/washing up etc...! I am really pleased!
Also, on the energy front. I had an anon letter "to the homeowner" from Simplee solar company saying that they are currently looking for a limited number of households throughout the country to participate in thier energy watch programme to raise awareness about thier solar water heating system and that you would get a significant subsidy towards installation etc...
it says to send off the enclosed prepaid form for a free no obligation explaination of the system, a survey and price quotation.
what does everyone think? i am thinking that they will come round and pester me until i give in and sign up for it but am curious!

I got same letter , it must be a sales gimmick ?0

The solar energy thing is probably a sales gimmick. Some local councils subsidise solar/renuable energy installations already.0
