Have used all of the regular sites - amazon etc. But work out very expensive
Was recommended a site by another mum where all of the books are below half price
Tried it and have recieved loads of books for under £20 - great service and plenty of choice
The site is:- childrensbooksworld.co.uk
Great for books to keep kids amused over half term
hope you find this useful

liked this site though because they put a book bundle together for me and gave me extra discount after I contacted them0

www.schoollink.co.uk even better
I agree, we also get the leaflets from school for this co and both this way of ordering and via the net are both great. The Book People and Red House are also good too for cheap books and Amazon always has a great choice and new releases.
The other link didnt look very secure, I couldn't see any contact details or address and the books were mainly those that usually come as sets. The categories also seemed out, not many 8 year olds read Kipper books still.0 -
the address and telephone number were on the company details and we called them - told them what we wanted - I feel I must reply as the people who run the site couldnt have been more helpful - Payment was easy through secure payment link
Felt more personal as we actually got to speak to someone - the person who recommended it to us had just purchased books for her playgroup and said that she had recieved great quality books
We have bought books from the other sites in the past but liked the personal service on this one0 -
I find our local library even better - and it's free! :beer:0

I second the book people, not always new releases, but you can't beat them for price. I spent £30 for DD1's birthday and she's getting pretty much a whole new library :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

I've picked up some excellent books for my children from my local charity shops. Some have been new and some have only cost 10p. Definitely worth a look.0

Tesco are doing BOGOF on children's books at the moment.0

I am currently collecting all the free books that come with newspapers for my impending gradchild - can't get cheaper than that!! And they are actually quite good books, although obviously for slightly older children as opposed to tinies! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

@claracluckcluck do you have any connection with children's book world apart from as a customer?
Just seems odd that your first three/only posts on MSE are praising this until now unknown bookseller which appears to operate out of a residential house in Wolverhampton.
